The SaaS-platform “„Digital Inventory Services (DIS)“ of Würth Additive Group transformed the concept of a digital spare parts supply into industrial reality. For their joint development of the solution, we and generic.de were presented with this year's Allianz Industrie 4.0 Award Baden-Württemberg on 5 November at the SpardaWelt Eventcenter in Stuttgart.

With the development of the platform, there was a clear goal: to make parts available and digitally accessible at any time – regardless of location, time, or physical inventory. With Würth Additive Group as project manager, generic.de as software expert and us as industrial partner, a scalable, secure, and user-centered platform could be realized. DIS enables companies to digitally manage and qualify parts information and manufacture parts directly on site as needed, using additive technologies.

Especially for companies with an urgent need for fasteners, the platform can make a decisive difference. Over 100 clips and clamps are already digitized, qualified and uploaded in the system. Now, for example, in the event of a repair, car repair shops can easily search for the needed clip on the platform and print it themselves worldwide, to be independent of delivery times, reduce the need for large inventories, and thereby increase flexibility.
